Consciousness infuses all life on this planet and beyond
The Science and Consciousness programs are designed to help us deepen our understanding of consciousness and our engagement in its fields of information and energy. They provide rigorous academic and scientific teaching combined with direct experience of the subject matter resulting in grounded and embodied learning.
Building on far-reaching research such as the 28 years at Princeton’s Engineering Anomalies Research lab and related academic study, the degrees build on these foundations that have been laid and give us the opportunity to explore areas that few have gone to before.
Programme Outcomes
By the end of your Certificate in Science and Consciousness you should be able to:
- Explain to colleagues, friends and family the nature of our interconnectedness and why it is important, in language and with evidence they won’t instantly dismiss
- Explain to yourself what you now believe and why you are making the choices you are
- Work consciously with the energy in yourself and its relationship to the world around you
- Describe your own experiences with consciousness in a clear and grounded way

Science and Consciousness of Self
The Science and Consciousness of Self program is an Integral approach to the Amatsu Tatara Shinden. Amatsu Tatara was first written down within the ancient records of Japan 500 AD. It covers many aspects of life, such as the martial, medical, spiritual and geographical. It survived to this day through changing and developing to meet the times. In Science and Consciousness of Self we are evolving an integral approach to the Amatsu Tatara Shinden. You can also think of it as the art of protecting yourself physically, emotionally and energetically. There are no prerequisites for this course. Homework is presented at the end of each Module.

Merry Musings – Volution: A Translinear Theory of Life
It kind of blew my mind when it first dawned on me that linear time is not a fixed quality of the universe but is actually quite a recent invention of the human mind. We spent nearly three million years living life directly in the present in the context of natural cycles. It was only a few thousand years ago that linearity entered our perspective. We have now reached a point in development where we need to re-evaluate that linear perspective and re-balance it with the cyclical. Evolution (and involution) are both products of linear thinking. New science is showing that life actually breathes and spins more like a pulsing torus than climbs the rungs of a ladder. The Merry Musing on Volution explores what that perspective looks like when you apply it to our individual and collective life process.

The I Ching or Book of Changes
The I Ching opens the door to a fascinating and complex cultural world. A Chinese oracle book, it offers profound counsel on life issues and, on special occasions, predictive divination. This latter requires preparation and a respectfully tuned relationship by the reader (or interpreter) of the I Ching to communicate an energetic waveband of intuition for the questioner. Being attentive is important, and passive absorption of its wisdom is exchanged for active participation. A line of the I Ching says of new birth: “This is not to say, however, that he himself should look on passively at what is happening. He must lend his hand and participate with inspiration and guidance.” It is in this way that the I Ching tunes the rhythm of the soul.

Energetics of Art 3
An artist enacts a creation story every time the artistic process is engaged. “Creation is the Mystery itself. Wise artists respond to the call of creation by peering into their own hearts, “ writes artist Alex Grey, “What higher goal for artists’ intentions than that their art may bring healing and blessings to viewers and catalyze their own and the viewer’s spiritual evolution?” In this third edition of Energetics of Art, we build on our previous two courses, adding several new modalities to deepen our explorations of art and wisdom, and engage energetics in the artistic process to heal and shape the container of our lives.

Energetics of Art 2
An artist can use their artistic expressions to enter into a conversation without the need for words. “Art is communion of one soul to another, offered through the symbolic language of form and content,” writes artist Alex Grey. Art is a dialogue that can transcend time and space. Through the creative process, the artist enters into a sacred conversation with the web of interconnected relationships that link all of creation. In this second edition of Energetics of Art, we continue exploring art and wisdom through our relationships to the whole, to the cosmos, to nature, and to the soul.

Energetics of Art 1
An artist can use art to enable people to enter a spiritual plane of consciousness that supports them in communing with their own individual interpretation of God or Spirit. According to our deepest and most ancient spiritual traditions wisdom, creativity, and healing are intimately connected. It is wisdom that concerns our relationship to the whole, to the cosmos, to nature, and to both feminine and masculine powers of nature.

Living in a Living Universe – for Changemakers
For the past three hundred years or so, science has viewed the universe as essentially non-living at its foundations. A non-living view of the universe has led to rampant materialism and global environmental degradation. To transform our planetary crises we need to move past a paradigm of separation and exploitation and learn to live sustainably on the Earth, in harmony with one another, and in communion with the living universe. This course will explore humanity’s journey to look beyond our many differences, and galvanize our efforts in building a promising future. This foundational course explores three, major questions:

Decoding Life (Jude Currivan)
The complexity of the challenges facing humanity today can sometimes seem overwhelming. Luckily, leading-edge science is providing us with a new way of understanding reality that could hold the keys to a sustainable and thriving future. Research into the dynamic patterns of human activity has shown how seemingly random human events are connected by algorithms that are also found in nature. This research is giving us the codes to crack the deeper dimensions of life. The big internet companies know this very well and exploit it for their own ends – now you can learn about it too. This course will reveal these codes of life to you, and introduce you to perspectives and practices which will forever change the way you look at yourself and the world around you. You’ll come away with a fresh understanding of how life really works and a perspective for building solutions that are truly fit for the future.

On the Frontiers of Science with Rupert Sheldrake
Rupert Sheldrake is one of the most seminal thinkers of our time. Over the past 40 years since the publication of his book A New Science of Life, Rupert has challenged conventional wisdom in science by bringing to our attention new data and new interpretive frameworks with which to understand ourselves and our relationship with the world and Nature around us. A New Science of Life introduced the concept of morphic resonance indicating that nature has memory and shapes actions through morphic fields. Rupert has been at the forefront of research in psychic phenomena and the paranormal. His books, “The Sense of Being Stared At” and, “When Dogs Know Their Owners are Coming Home,” deal with some of his cutting-edge research.

Merry Musings – Bohm and Krishnamurti: Where Science Meets Spirituality
Over a period of twenty years, the quantum physicist David Bohm and spiritual teacher J. Krishnamurti engaged in a series of dialogues to explore how each of their perspectives could deepen each other’s understanding of life. Their dialogues touch on multiple fundamental themes. In this Merry Musing we will explore the core themes and how a view from the new physics relates to ancient spiritual teachings. In the coming Musings we will dive deep into a number of the themes they touch on, including Time and Thought.

Leading from the Field – 12 Principles for Energetic Stewardship
If we assume, as both the new scientists and ancient wisdom traditions tell us, that all of reality is actually composed of interlocking dynamic energy fields, that life is a continuous process of organising energetic information into form, then what does that mean for the way we need to lead our organisations, be they business, civil society, government, community or even family systems? This Merry Musing goes into the broader perspective as well as exploring twelve specific principles for taking into account the subtle dimension of reality as we lead our initiatives. Peter’s latest book, Leading from the Field, provides an illustrated guide to this work.
